Teased in two colorways—black/white and white/black—the range appears to use the vintage-leaning Chuck 70 silhouette as opposed to the more commonplace Chuck Taylor All-Star. The shoe’s heels include Essentials branding on the left heel with a traditional Converse badge on the right.
Launch details including release date and pricing info have not yet been announced, but designer Jerry Lorenzo’s Instagram post teases a fall drop.
UPDATE (12/10/2018): Fear of God’s diffusion label Essentials is finally dropping its Converse Chuck 70 collaboration. The PacSun-exclusive release will be available at select stores and pacsun.com on Wednesday, Dec. 12 for $110. In-store purchases will be handled via raffle. Raffles are open until 6 p.m. local time on Dec. 11. Black and white-based canvas pairs will be up for grabs that each sport a contrasting leather tongue and rubber toe cap, Essentials branding on the heel, and elongated white laces designed to wrap around the ankle.
UPDATE (03/23): Over a year after its debut, the Fear of God x Converse Chuck 70 collab is releasing again this week in both the black and cream-based colorways including at Sneakersnstuff and at select Converse stockists on March 26 for $110 each.
