Legal issues have haunted Mystikal for the better part of his career. The rapper turned himself in to the authorities in August 2017 on allegations that he raped a woman. He was released earlier this week after he posted $3M bond as he awaits trial. The New Orleans rapper took to Twitter to issue a thank you to his fans for standing by him.

Mystikal had a few things to say after his release from prison this week. The rapper thanked his fans for holding him down, saying, “Thank you to everyone for all the prayers and support.” Additionally, he also clarified the information to contact him. It seems like while he was away, there may have some people who’ve been pretending to represent him. “The only emails you should contact for business is and,” he wrote.

Mystikal was accused of raping a woman in Louisiana in 2016. The rapper pleaded not guilty to the charges. However, his trial is expected to commence in May.

His lawyer said that he believes the rapper will be proven innocent in a court of law.

“Based on all of the evidence we have, we strongly believe that an amicable resolution is not only possible but probable as an outcome in this case and that Michael Tyler will never be made to return to jail for a crime he didn’t commit,” Pearce said in a statement.
