More Details Emerge in Shooting Death of Lil Durk’s Brother DThang

The brother of Lil Durk was shot and killed outside a strip club near Chicago over the weekend.

Now more details are emerging surrounding the fatal shooting. According to a report from WGN-TV, Dontay Banks Jr., better known as OTF DThang, was shot outside Club O, a strip club in Harvey, Ill., just after 12:20 a.m. Sunday (June 6). Banks was shot in the head and died at the scene.

In a separate incident prior to the shooting, a police officer observed a club patron holding a gun. An altercation ensued and the officer sustained a gunshot injury from an unidentified suspect. He was taken to the hospital and released in good condition.

Later in the night, police responded to a deadly shooting in the 100 block of West 155th Street which claimed the life of Sinica Price. Police believe that shooting may have been in retaliation.

Authorities continue to investigate the series of shootings and no suspects are currently in custody. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Harvey Police Department.

Lil Durk has not commented on his brother’s death, but friends including producer Murda Beatz and Chicago rapper Calboy mourned the loss on social media.
