Lizzo Responds to Rumor That She Killed Someone by Stage Diving
Lizzo is putting the rumors to rest.
The “Truth Hurts” singer took to TikTok to address a persistent rumor that has been circulating for years, claiming she killed someone while stage-diving.
“I’ve seen a lot of annoying things about me on the internet, but the thing that bothers me the most is this rumor that I stage-dived at a concert and killed somebody,” she said in the clip, which has been viewed over 1.7 million times.
The rumor originated from a fake TMZ tweet that claimed she killed four people and injured 12 while stage-diving at a concert. The tweet went viral in 2019, but was later deleted.

“Killed somebody? Y’all really gonna put that on my motherfu**in’ name?” asked Lizzo. “Like, I know I’m big, but bitch, I’m not that fu**in’ big.”
To prove her point, the Grammy winner then stage-dived into her mattress. “Bitch!” she said after landing on her stomach.
In a subsequent video, she responded to a fan who asked if she knew who started the rumor. “I don’t know who said it,” said Lizzo. “I wish I knew who said it so I could tell them to their face they was dead wrong.”
