Quarterback Kyle Holmes accounted for three touchdowns today for the Arbor View High football team in a 44-0 victory against host Las Vegas.

Holmes had a 7-yard scoring strike to Logan Clogston, and rushing touchdowns of 1 and 19 yards as Arbor View led 21-0 midway through the second quarter.

Arbor View (2-1) didn’t allow a touchdown for the second straight week and posted nine points defensively thanks to a 50-yard fumble return for a touchdown from Ashtin Pollins-Borell. The Aggies also had a safety.

Richard Washington added scoring runs of 10 and 4 yards.

“You have to be pretty happy when you get a shutout,” Arbor View coach Matt Gerber said. “We did what we were supposed to do. We came out and moved the ball really well and the defense was stout.”

Holmes completed 16 of 21 passes for 264 yards, hooking up eight times for 168 yards with D’Andre Washington. Makhai Donaldson carried the ball 13 times for 102 yards.
