Cole Marquez had a pair of rushing touchdowns today for the Durango High football team in a 51-14 victory against Cheyenne.
Jaxon Young added a receiving touchdown, Micah Reyes had an interception return for a score and a touchdown catch, and Antonio Smithson had a rushing touchdown.
Daurell Ilaoa and Tavita Seloti also scored for the Trailblazers.
Durango trailed 8-6 in the first quarter, and then scored five unanswered touchdowns before halftime in improving to 3-2 overall. It opens league play next week against Del Sol.
“We’ve been playing pretty good, “ Durango coach Toby Henry said.
