Josh Andrade passed for three touchdowns tonight for the Coronado High football team, which overcame an 11-point second-half deficit and a 30-minute game delay because some of the stadium lights went out in a 25-21 win over visiting Shadow Ridge.

“When the kids come back down to earth tomorrow they will realize everything we have told them about working and keep fighting will come alive if you keep the path and keep working,” Coronado coach Fred Biletnikoff Jr. said.

Jaylen Garrison had 160 yards receiving and two touchdowns and Mike Floyd had a 25-yard scoring reception.

Shadow Ridge is expected to make a playoff run. The victory means Coronado also has a chance at postseason glory.

“A win like this gives the kids confidence. It gives the whole program confidence,” Biletnikoff said.
