Members of the Desert Oasis High School football team are pictured during the Las Vegas Sun’s high school football media day at the Red Rock Resort on August 3rd, 2021. They include, from left, Caleb Bowman, Isaiah Flasher and Tyler Stott.

Desert Oasis’ Tyler Stott passed for seven touchdowns tonight in a 59-30 victory against Cheyenne, setting up a showdown next week with undefeated Silverado for the league title.

Elijah Darwin had four touchdown receptions, while Isaiah Flasher, Maverick Moore and Hezekiah Johnson also had scoring grabs. Stott, who earlier in the season also passed for seven scores against Bonanza, rushed for a touchdown.

The winner next week also receives the No. 1 playoff seed, and Silverado is widely considered the state’s best class 4A team.

“We will have to have one heck of a week of practice,” Desert Oasis coach Brant Smith said. “All three phases of the game will have to play well (to beat Silverado).”
