Dover Street Market x New Balance 991 ’40th Anniversary’ Release Date

New Balance has linked up with Dover Street Market to celebrate the birthday of one of its most historic factories with a new 991 collab dropping soon.

Pictured here is the DSM x New Balance 991 collab that celebrates the 40th birthday of the brand’s Flimby factory in the U.K. The shoe sports a traditional grey color scheme predominantly on the mesh and suede upper and is offset by sail leather overlay panels throughout. DSM branding is embroidered on the tongue and heel while the 40th-anniversary markings appear behind the tongue and on the footbed. The look is finished off with a two-tone Abzorb midsole, which is the first shoe from the 99x series to feature Abzorb cushioning in the forefoot and below the heel.

New Balance’s Flimby factory has produced some of the brand’s most celebrated silhouettes, including the 1500 and this collaborative 991 style. 

This Dover Street Market x New Balance 991 collab will be released this Thursday, April 14 at shop.doverstreetmarket.com and at DSM stores for $274.
