Nike ‘Día de Muertos’ 2022 Collection Release Date

The celebration of Día de Muertos has grown to become a yearly tradition for Nike, with the brand releasing new styles around the observance of the Mexican holiday in October. For 2022, the Swoosh is releasing this new set of Air Force 1 and Dunk colorways.

According to Nike, the “Dia de Muertos” Air Force 1 Low pictured here draws inspiration from Pan de Muerto, which is a circular-shaped bread that’s typically baked for the holiday to symbolize the cycle of life and death. For the Dunk High, the upper features an intricate pattern that references several customary items found at ofrendas, which are the offerings placed at the altars that pay tribute to the deceased loved ones and help guide their souls back home.

Both the “Día de Muertos” Nike Air Force 1 Low and Dunk High colorways will be released on Oct. 26 via SNKRS for $140 each. Grab a closer look at both pairs below.
