The London-based label Maharishi is fully embracing its militaristic aesthetic with its next sneaker project with Reebok.

This time, the sportswear brand and the self-proclaimed purveyors of “pacifist military design” are releasing a military-inspired Classic Leather collab dubbed “Ripstop.” The shoe’s moniker directly references the premium ripstop nylon used on the entirety of the upper as well as the various reflective accents featured throughout. Unliked standard versions of the silhouette, Maharishi branding appears on the upper’s midfoot and on the tongue tag.

“In England, [the] Classic Leather is known as the OG Reebok shoe and has strong connections within many youth subcultures,” Maharishi founder Hardy Blechman said. “Throughout the design process we looked at duality, a concept that is deeply embedded in the Maharishi ethos. Maharishi has always sought to draw out the hidden commonalities of seemingly opposing forces.”

Readers will be able to cop this “Ripstop” Maharishi x Reebok Classic Leather collab starting on Dec. 16 exclusively through Maharishi stores for $150. A wider release of the project will land on Dec. 23 at Reebok.com and at select retailers.
