Ronnie Fieg kicked off this year’s 30th anniversary celebrations of the New Balance 998 by releasing his two “Broadacre City” collabs last month. Now, New Balance is taking things into its own hands by bringing back one of the sneaker’s original colorways soon.

Today, the Boston-based sportswear brand confirmed that the classic “Grey” New Balance 998 is re-releasing on May 12. The now-classic 998 silhouette debuted in 1993 and was the first sneaker in the popular 990 line to feature Abzorb cushioning in the midsole.

The newest reissue sticks to its traditional mesh and pigskin suede build on the upper, with various shades of grey covering the panels. A reflective silver “N” logo appears on the sides, while white shoelaces are attached at the midfoot.

Readers will be able to cop this year’s reissue of the OG-styled “Grey” New Balance 998 starting on May 12 at newbalance.com and at select New Balance retailers for $185.
