Nike is synonymous with the state of Oregon. Founded by Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman in 1964 in Eugene and currently headquartered a little further north in the city of Beaverton, it isn’t out of the ordinary to stumble upon some of the brand’s history in either city. The latest example is Eugene’s recently-opened Graduate Hotel, which boasts a 43-pair display of vintage Nikes at its front desk. 

The display has been curated by Graduate Hotels CEO and founder Ben Weprin. The collection includes selections like original pairs of the Waffle Racer, Blazer Mid, Cortez, Asics Onitsuka Tigers from the brand’s start as Blue Ribbon Sports, and even official Nike roller skates. A surprising inclusion that sticks out from the crowd is a pair of “Chicago” Off-White x Air Jordan 1s.
