Next Monday, Virgil Abloh’s “Figures of Speech” exhibit at MCA Chicago officially opens to the public. An early look from media has provided some of what to expect from the space. A lot of attention has been given to a Supreme box logo T-shirt collaboration on display, but the large amount of Off-White x Nike samples being showcased is arguably the best piece of Abloh’s new exhibit.

Over 40 of Abloh’s deconstructed sneakers are on display. Some of the highlights include unreleased Air Jordan 4s with translucent straps and netting, 3D-printed Zoom VaporFly Elites, a white and yellow colorway of his massively popular Air Jordan 1 re-design, and even a sample colorway of the Vapor Street Flyknit first seen on the runway at the Spring/Summer ’19 women’s Off-White show this past September.

Among the pairs on the table are some familiar looks as well that received minor tweaks for the retail release like the volt Air Force 1, black Air Max 90, and University Blue “MCA Chicago” Air Force 1 releasing in the coming days to celebrate the exhibit’s launch.

Get a closer look at some of Abloh’s scrapped designs below.
