‘Sneaker Shopping’ with the First Ever Fan Contest Winner

Back in May, Complex announced its “Sneaker Shopping With You” contest that would allow for one lucky fan to star in their own episode of the hit series, Sneaker Shopping. After judging nearly 500 submissions, Nebraska native Ed Mora was selected as the contest’s inaugural winner.

Mora joined host Joe La Puma at Stadium Goods to discuss the difficulty of shopping for sneakers in Nebraska, reselling shoes on Facebook, being a big fan of Canelo Àlvarez, why the “Black/Cement” Air Jordan 4 means so much to him, and more.

“The ‘Black/Cement’ [Air Jordan] 4s were the first kicks I really saw around my friends. When these first released in 2012, my friend wore them all the time. He wore them to every single basketball practice, and stuff like that,” Mora said. “He was about four years older than me. He showed me sneakers, how to get girls, and stuff like that. He passed away a couple years ago, and he had these on all the time. That’s why I have a personal connection with these.”
