Space exploration continues to be the central theme of the Nike PG 3 run, with a reflective silver colorway inspired by Apollo 11 on its way to retail.

The silver-on-silver look is highlighted by 3M reflective mesh paneling, as well as custom NASA patches on the tongues and heels of both shoes. On the left tongue is a patch that calls out Apollo 11, the 1969 mission that first landed humans on the moon. A black and white section of traction on the outsole could also represent the surface of the moon.

A native of Palmdale, California, home to prominent NASA research centers, Paul George is an avid fan of space exploration. Following his recent trade to the Los Angeles Clippers, it’s likely that we’ll see the theme carried out in upcoming additions to his signature line.

Nike has yet to officially announced a release date for the “Moon Landing” PG 3, but we’ll keep you posted here at Sole Collector. Apollo 11 is celebrating its 50th Anniversary next week, so it’s possible that the release will coincide with that.
