This song brought me joy at first then I started to feel so sad…I wish my mother and my aunties played this song for me or sent me the same message when I was young instead of buying me creams to lighten my face with them. I’m sad my youth has gone with me hating my skin most of my life until I got used to never being accepted. I can’t even blame them because they still believe that lighter is prettier.

Its comforting to know im not alone in this😢 i guess I have to start the journey of loving myself. I don’t know where and how to start but playing this song is a start. Genuine and pure love to all my sisters who know what I’m talking about❤️❤️❤️

Let's stop putting every other woman above ours. I respect the Obamas, LeBrons and the Denzel's..There is nothing wrong with other women but black men have to stop making our women feel inferior.

And the 2.2 k dislikes can get tf on. Mad cause our Melanin Queens and Princesses are understanding that they are worth way more that they are exposed to in this corrupted community and society. #blackisbeautiful

All skin colours are beautiful. People just don't like what they have, instead of making the best of what they have. White people saying they're too white and dark people wishing they were lighter. The problem is not outside, it's inside. Dark skinned people look better in some colours that pale people don't and vice versa. Afro hair is beautiful and its such a shame that people are still buying wigs. Why are famous black women choosing wigs and weaves instead of starting an afro hair revolution? That's what I want to know
