The Apartment x New Balance 574 ‘Mustard Dip’ Release Date

In addition to being part of this year’s “Grey Day” celebrations, the New Balance 574 has been a constant presence in the brand’s collaborative offerings and that will continue with this pair from Tokyo-based retailer The Apartment.

Dubbed “Mustard Dip,” The Apartment’s New Balance 574 collab takes the name of the colorway quite literally by taking the condiment’s bright yellow hue by applying it to the shoe’s toe box. The rest of the upper dons the model’s signature grey color palette with a subtle blue underlay appearing on the side’s “N” logo. Additional details include 2009 and 2021, which correlates with the year The Apartment was founded and the year this collab is releasing, on the back of the tongue, and a special mustard bottle hangtag.

According to The Apartment, it added a mustard dip to its New Balance 574 collab as a way of keeping the shoe “a classic with a little twist.”
