Before Michael Jordan joined the Washington Wizards as a member of their front office and backcourt, he was a career-long Chicago Bull and his footwear often reflected that. By the time Jordan departed DC, he finally had a release fit for his former employer: the “French Blue” Air Jordan 12, which originally dropped during the 2003-2004 season.

Although never worn by Jordan on-court, the colorway was made memorable by some of the era’s best players, including Kobe Bryant, Ray Allen and Richard Hamilton. As a result, the Parisian Pantone presented on the “French Blue” 12s quickly became beloved by fans of all ages.

In 2016, the world welcomed the Air Jordan 12 Retro “French Blue” back for the first time, arriving in April of that year and shining ever since.
