New Balance has added renowned skateboarder Andrew Reynolds to an endorsement deal, with the brand confirming the news earlier this week in a special video seen below.

Reynolds has been a prominent member of the skateboarding community since the early 1990s, including being featured in eight of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater video game and creating brands like Baker Skateboards and Altamont Apparel. As part of the signing, Reynolds joins the brand’s global New Balance Numeric skateboarding team that currently includes Jamie Foy, Jake Hayes, Tiago Lemos, and Brandon Westgate.

“My goal is to skate as hard as I can, for as long as I can,” Reynolds said. “New Balance’s attention to detail and their focus on the team’s needs is what first drew me to the brand. I believe they are making the best skate shoes for me right now. I love that Numeric, the skate division, is a focused team of people that I can continue to grow with; I already feel at home and energized.”

As a part of the signing, New Balance says Reynolds and the Numeric team will continue to grow and further empower the next generation of skaters.
