It appears that Nike will reference a popular Air Max 1 colorway from the early 2000s for an upcoming release of the silhouette.
Pictured here is an unreleased Air Max 1 colorway that appears to take a page from the coveted “Chili” colorway that dropped back in 2003. This version of the runner dons a white mesh upper and unlike the ‘03 pair, the nubuck overlay panels sports a drastically lighter shade of grey. There are also black accents on the mudguard and sock liner, while red hits appear on the Swoosh and tongue tag.
Additionally, Nike also brought back several classic iterations of the Air Max 1 this year, including the “Shima Shima” iteration and the “Big Bubble” version of the original white/university red colorway.
As of now, a release date for this “Chili 2.0” Air Max 1 colorway has not yet been announced by Nike. Grab a detailed look at the style below.
