Golden Knights Take on Oilers

After a delay in the schedule’s release and complications surrounding when a game was taking place, the Golden Knights now have their calendar of dates for their second-round series against the Edmonton Oilers.

Vegas and Edmonton will open their series Wednesday, as previously announced by the league. That game will start at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN.

Game 2, which was set for Friday but did not have broadcast details provided, has been moved to Saturday for a 4 p.m. start on TNT.

The switch to Saturday was likely due to booking at Rogers Place. Country music star Shania Twain is performing concerts Friday and Saturday in Edmonton. A person with direct knowledge of the thinking told the Sun that ice conditions would not have been sufficient for Game 3 on Sunday.

That’s the only series that has two days off between games. Games 3 through 7 will be played every other day.

The series shifts to Edmonton for Games 3 and 4, set for Monday (5:30 p.m.) and Wednesday (7 p.m.).

TV information and times for Games 5 through 7 will be released should the series go past the first four.
