A’ja Wilson recorded her 10th double-double of the season with 23 points and 13 rebounds, and the Las Vegas Aces cruised to their eighth straight victory, 102-84, over the Connecticut Sun at Michelob ULTRA Arena on Saturday.

One day after signing a two-year extension with the franchise that drafted her No. 1 overall in 2018, Wilson hit the 20-point mark for the 10th time this season. The reigning league MVP was named the Western Conference Player of the Week on Monday after averaging 24 points and 11 rebounds in four games last week.

Kelsey Plum had a game-high 25 points, and Candace Parker had 15 points to go with eight assists as the Aces improved to a league-best 15-1 on the season and 9-0 at home.

Plum was selected to her second All-Star Game prior to tip-off. The 2022 All-Star Game MVP will join Wilson, Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young for the contes July 15 in Las Vegas.

The Aces won the season series 2-1 over the Sun in a rematch from last season’s WNBA Finals, won by the Aces in four games.

Las Vegas, which led 59-48 at halftime, opened the third quarter on a 16-0 run and led by as many as 29.

Connecticut is the only team to beat the Aces this season, posting a 94-77 victory June 8 at Mohegan Sun Arena.

In eight games since then, the Aces have won by double digits in seven of them.

This is a developing story. Check back later for updates.
