Vegas Golden Knights team captain Mark Stone (61) raises the Stanley Cup Trophy after the Golden Knights beat the Florida Panthers 9-3 in Game 5 to win the Stanley Cup Final at T-Mobile Arena Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in Las Vegas.

The Golden Knights will open the 2023-24 season and raise their Stanley Cup banner to the rafters of T-Mobile Arena on Oct. 10 against the Seattle Kraken, the league announced today.

The NHL released the 82-game schedules for all 32 teams, highlighted by the league’s two newest teams meeting at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN as part of a tripleheader. The Nashville Predators and Tampa Bay Lightning begin the new campaign (2:30 p.m.), followed by the Chicago Blackhawks — and projected No. 1 overall pick Connor Bedard — facing Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins (5 p.m.).

This will be the second time in Seattle’s three-year history that the Golden Knights and Kraken meet on opening night and the fifth time the Golden Knights open the season at home.

Vegas and Seattle will meet again at noon on New Year’s Day for the NHL Winter Classic at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, the home of the Mariners.

The Golden Knights open the season with 10 of their first 15 games at home, followed by eight of their next nine on the road from Nov. 14-30.

The first of two Stanley Cup Final rematches against the Florida Panthers will take place Dec. 23 at FLA Live Arena. The Panthers will visit T-Mobile Arena on Jan. 4.

Vegas has a season-long five-game homestand starting Jan. 11 against the Boston Bruins, Calgary Flames, Nashville, the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh.

A limited number of full season-ticket memberships are available for purchase starting at $55 per game through July 9. Following that, pricing will increase 5%.

TV broadcast information will be released at a later date.
